Hi -
I seem to have run into an issue with what looks to be newer kernels and the hostap_cs driver.
I have two prism2.5 cards, a SMC 2532W-B and a Demarctech 300mW Reliawave. Both worked fine with the hostap_cs driver, for the longest time. However, just recently, the kernel now hard locks upon insertion of either the cards. More specifically, the insmod of hostap_cs seems to trigger the lockup. There's not too much info, but if I sit at vc/1 or tail logs when I insert hostap_cs, I get this:
Code: | Unknown interrupt or fault at EIP 00200206 00000060 c010d786 |
The system proceeds to hard lock. Magic sysrq doesn't work, either. When I say this only happened recently, it seems to be a problem with 2.6.17-r*.
I know this isn't too much to go by, but has anyone else seen this? Here's some info:
IBM ThinkPad T42
gentoo-sources-2.6.17-r8
pcmcia-cs-3.2.8-r2
Kernel config, dmesg, lspci, lsmod can be found: http://www.prolixium.com/share/hostap/
Thanks in advance..
