lighttpd related questions

Hi all,

I just installed lighttpd and php with fcgi support. So the first question is does fcgi get enabled by just uncommenting the mod_fastcgi line in lighttpd.conf?? If not, how to go about it.

Now I also installed eaccelerator. Does this just work out of the box or some configurational changes will be required???

Also, on the system access front, I put some allow hosts in /etc/hosts.allow and deny all in the .deny file. now people can't access ssh services which are on ip's other than allowed, but they are able to access lighttpd services! Now this is something that is not wanted (obviously) so if som1 can explain why this isn't working?? I can put the access allow lines in lighttpd.conf also, but I wanted to know why this didn't work.
