what options should i choose?
DRM? there is no suitable options for riva tnt, just sth ati, 3d-banshee, etc
what should i do? build old drivers for xfree?
the gentoo kernel used during installation is a clue to me
it can display 1024x768 in 16 bit true color
so i wanna know what display options it is using
OR
is this problem just a xfree problem?just emerge the latest version of it and it will go?
currently my thing displays 640x480 in console only
i did chose the drm stuff during kernel compile
thx a lot _________________ hackers - make sth real

You don't need any of the drm stuff in the kernel for nvidia cards, The nvdia-kernel package takes care of that. As for the 1024x768 console that's not anything to do with drm. Just make sure you have VESA framebuffer support in your kernel and pass vga=791 to your kernel at boot. |
