Hi,
I don't have an entry for cdrom in dev, i have an entry in dmesg for the dvd player
hda: DVDRW IDE 16X, ATAPI CD/DVD-ROM drive
Probing IDE interface ide1...
ide0 at 0x1f0-0x1f7,0x3f6 on irq 14
but no /ev/hd* or anything of the like.
It's an ide connection and I have enables ide cdrom support and generic support in the kernel.
Any ideas?
Thanks |

Did you also include UDF (filesystem) support, since it's a DVD player? I don't know if that should bring up /dev/hda but it's worth a try. Also check /dev/ide/* |

Hi, thanks for your reply,
I didn't have that option checked, I recompiled with it and everything but it hasn't made a difference. There's no /dev/ide. |
