Hi to all: Just wanted to ask if anybody tried/succeeded booting the Gentoo 2006.1 LiveCD or DVD from the iso image saved on spare partition on the hard drive somewhere. In other words, without burning a CD/DVD.

I don't know the answere.
but, i can inform u, u can install gentoo from stage3 with chroot (i like this process) . then u will not need any CD/DVD to burn. _________________ --

Thanks lavluda. It looks that what I want to do is NOT possible for 2006.1, but it may work for 2006.0, but I haven't tried it yet.
