I think this is to do with a change in the EXA API. Which version of x11-base/xorg-server are you running and have you tried upgrading to ~arch?

For the record I am using x11-base/xorg-server-1.1.1-r1 with x11-drivers/xf86-video-ati-6.6.2 and it's working just great.

I'm running xorg-x11-7.0-r1

Looks like 6.6.2 does build where the release version 6.5.8 does not. Thanks.

I'm not really crazy about running pre-release code, though. Is this one a likely release candidate?

I knew I should have looked in Bugzilla before replying: Bug #129904

The thing is that if you're using x11-base/xorg-server-1.0.2-r7 (?), which is the latest stable version, then it (6.5.8.0) should compile fine as far as I can tell.

Looks like I managed to get xorg-server-1.1.1-r1 in there. Probably from when I was trying to cope with the missing sandbox dependency.

After downgrading xorg-server to 1.0.2-r7, xf86-video-ati-6.5.8.0 now builds properly.
