Hi everybody!
I have installed Gentoo_rc2 with LiLo.
Is it possible to get DHCP and my proxy stuff to get started automatically every time I do this or do I also have to export_http..... like in the installation manual.
Secondly, my cd rom and cd writer are recognised as hdb and hdc. Is this right?

DHCP - edit /etc/conf.d/net
proxy - add and export in make.conf(export in cli before sync)
hdb,hdc - doesn't matter.
but if you want to burn cds you will have setup boot params and enable scsi emu in kernel
or u could just use cdrecord's alpha func, of writing ATAPI -
cdrecord dev=ATAPI:/dev/hdc speed=8 somefile. |
