I am having i810e motherboard with inbuilt graphics. I am able to boot with low resolution and colour depth, I want to start x with 1024x768 resolution and 16 bit color depth.
when I run startx, I get the following error,
(EE) i810(0): [agp] unable to bind system textile memory
help please...
Thanks,

There seems to be a lot of relevant information at Can't get X to start in 1280 x 1024 resolution _________________ The avatar is jorma, a "duck" from "Elephants Dream": the film and all the production materials have been made available under a Creative Commons Attribution 2.5 License, see orange.blender.org for details. |

Thanks wynn,
changing the color depth to 24 bit worked. why not 16? anyway I am happy with 24.
Though still not able to get gl in mplayer, that should be another trouble.
Thanks,
