Xgl and desktop applet in KDE

Hello!

I've successfully installed Xgl on my box running KDE and it is wonderful. Nevertheless, one problem I face is that in the kicker bar the desktop applet that before that displayed me four desktops now only shows one desktop and I am not able to switch the desktop any more by just clicking on one of it in the applet.

Is this applet not compatible with Xgl or is it a configuration issue?

I have same problem, cannot change desktop with that little applet. Luckily it is possible to change desktop by scrolling mousewheel on desktop

The desktop applet has never worked for me when using XGL/Compiz, in KDE or XFCE4. I think the workspaces in XGL/Compiz are not implemented in a way that KDE can recognize them.
