|
|
(This replaces my deleted post where I accidentally referred to Nautilus as Noatun... Need more sleep)
This may sound like a stupid question, but I have looked everywhere, and searched google as well as these forums without being able to find it.
The version of GNOME I am using (2.14.2) has Nautilus by default opening folders in new widows.
This is driving me insane. I NEED to find how to switch it so it opens folders in the same window. Does anyone know where they have hidden this option in this version?
When I open preferences in Nautilus it is nowhere to be found...
Thanks,

Edit -> Prefences -> Browser-Mode
Yes. I know nobody how likes the default setting, it like Win95...unusable
The gnome guys are always thinking their users are stupid idiots, it the same like with the gtk-file-menu, the printing-menu or the useless "list" function (only one row?!). But they didn't care about this. But on the other side, gnome includes the complex evolution groupware.
I really don't know how the gnome-devs think. _________________ Just you and me strogg! |

You can also middle-click, which will open the new directory in the current window. |

Actually, they seem to have moved it.
I finally found it.
Now it is under:
Edit Menu -> Preferences -> Behavior Tab -> Check "Always open in browser windows".
Thanks for pointing me in the correct direction. _________________ ----
