Blank screen when booting LiveDVD

Hi,

I'm trying to install Gentoo 2006.6, using the LiveDVD, on my Acer Ferrari 4000, and it seems like everything works ok during boot, but the screen goes blank at the end of the booting process.

Maybe it is related to a similar problem when I boot Ubuntu, but here I have the option of choosing a "fool proof" graphics mode.

How do I solve this in Gentoo?

you can boot "gentoo nox" to not start X or "gentoo-nofb" to not use the framebuffer. Also be sure to press F2 to see what its doing.
