| Hello all, I was wondering if it is possible to run multiple versions of warcraft 3 so that I am able to watch old replays that turn useless once a new patch comes out. |

| You could create separate .wine directories and install a copy of Warcraft III (or copy an old .wine directory) and symlink them to ~/.wine whenever you want to use a particular version. I think there's also an environment variable to specify the wine directory, but I can't recall what it is. |

before you can use the new wine directories, you have to create them:
$ WINEPREFIX="$HOME/.wine2" wineprefixcreate
$ WINEPREFIX="$HOME/.wine3" wineprefixcreate
after that, you can start th game like this:
$ WINEPREFIX="$HOME/.wine2" wine /path/to/Warcraft3.exe
$ WINEPREFIX="$HOME/.wine3" wine /path/to/Warcraft3.exe |

Thank you both for your replies. Glad I finally have that taken care of. Always annoyed the crap out of me when a new patch came out and rendered my old replays useless.  |
