Screwed up my networking completely with emerge --sync

I just did what I did and it obviously updated madwifi.
The consequence is that now somehow the thing won't start anymore I have everything as before
under /etc/conf.d/net

then I have net.ath0 linked to /etc/net.lo and so on as before
now when I boot the network won't start anymore ... if I type in dhcpcd ath0 after the
boot of it goes and starts. So what changed?

Ok screw that - some update - downgraded to previous ver and everything is fine again
