Hey, just seen the new 1.4_rc4 build of gentoo, and this seems to put my monitor in standby when I leave it for so long (when I boot from the cd image).. WOW!

I have compiled APM support into my kernel, I have merge apmd, just wondering if anyone could tell me, how I can get my monitor to go into standby in the terminal window, just like the new gentoo boot cd image does..

Thanks In Advance PPL :!:

Simple

In kernel, enable APM support and tick "Console blanking using APM".

Compile, Install, Run, Done!

Froze? Ugh... Then get rid of APM and just use ACPI support. Should be some option in some APCI daemon config.
