GUI Ruby Editor

I'm looking for a relatively simple editor (I'd say big IDE's like eclipse /w Ruby plugin are useless to me) for me to write Ruby in, in KDE, with syntax highlighting and such.

I've done almost all of my programming on Windows, so I'm not informed about the choices available to me.

Any suggestions?

Try kwrite and kate (monolithic: kde-base/kdebase or modular: kde-base/kate).
