I'm trying to get my wireless interface to connect to my router at boot using iwtools.
At boot time, when net.ath0 is started, it seems to ignore what I put for channel_ath0 in my /etc/conf.d/net or etc/conf.d/wireless.
Interestingly enough, it works when I run "dhcpcd ath0" even when there are no wireless options in /etc/conf.d/net or etc/conf.d/wireless!
I've seen some bug listings and recent postings by others but not specifically for this instance. |

Could you please post:- the contents of /etc/conf.d/net (anonymise if necessary)
- the output from "iwconfig ath0" and "/sbin/iwlist ath0 channel"
- the pertinent Madwifi output from dmesg
- anything else you think has a bearing on the problem.
Is the net.ath0 script being launched automatically when the machine's ath0 interface becomes available (service cold plugging), or when it gets to the script as a normal course of events? _________________ Cheers,
