Tried three times to get the LiveCD to install (x86) on my system. Bootstrap finishes fine and it goes through about the first hour and half of working on building the system (trying to do a stage 1 install) and it keeps erroring at the following when using the graphical installer...
From Log Tab

groupadd is provided by sys-apps/shadow, which in turn is provided by system. Have you disabled the pam USE flag by any chance?
I'd love to suggest more but I never used the installer. Saying that it's not ready yet and should be considered pre-beta code would be giving it praise... If you can, perform a classic manual install following the handbook's instructions. It's actually less hassle and doesn't require you to be intimately familiar with Gentoo. _________________ Military Commissions Act of 2006: http://tinyurl.com/jrcto
