Alright, were just making sure that I used bugzilla properly... I guess I'll just have to wait now. _________________ Sunnz's corner - sunNZ.Net forums |

From the bug it follows that the newest version does work. So you could unmask the newest version yourself and use that:
Code: | echo =app-editors/nvu-1.0-r4 >> /etc/portage/package.keywords
emerge nvu |

It does?? What about those people who have their emerge --info thing that says it works? Are they testing it on their machine? _________________ Sunnz's corner - sunNZ.Net forums |

The ones that say it works are indeed testing it on their machine. They seem to be using amd64 and as you can see here:
http://packages.gentoo.org/search/?sstring=nvu
The stable (working) version for amd64 is newer (1.0-r4) than the stable version for x86 (0.90-r2). The newest version will probably work fine on your machine too, devs just haven't come around to marking it stable yet. |

Oh, so they just go test it and marked it as stable just because the bug being posted? Is that what they meant by "amd64's first! we're first! " that amd64 goes stable before x86? That's pretty awsome if you ask me!!
I'll try emerge --sync tomorrow morning, need sleep now! (Hope it will work out!) _________________ Sunnz's corner - sunNZ.Net forums |
