Hello everybody
I`ve been using my Gentoo box as a small router for my two computers (small LOCAL LAN). The Gentoo box is the gateway to the Internet, which establishes an Internet connection via an ADSL-router acting as a bridge (pppoE). I`m using the Shorewall firewall solution. The problem is that after a random interval, in which everything works fine, the connection is dropped. rp-pppoe tries to bring it up again but unfortunately returns this error :

Timeout waiting for PADO packets. Unable to complete PPPoE discovery. Exit.

If I reset the ADSL bridge then the connection works again. At some point the whole cycle is repeated. Has anybody experienced such problems? Any ideas as to what the cause might be?

well I have this problema too.
I've search around and found nothing about how to fix this.
If anybody else has the fix, please post it.
