hi there,

I have Rosetta Stone 2.0.6.1A running under wine, but it doesn't recognize language CD and says "No langauge data found".

I have iso of langauge data mounted and linked as dos device -

Code:

$ mount
/mnt/usb.down/roseta/French.ISO on /mnt/virtual type iso9660 (ro,loop=/dev/loop3)

and e:\ pionts to --> /mnt/virtual

any idea what could be wrong?

Code:

equery l wine
[ Searching for package 'wine' in all categories among: ]
 * installed packages
[I--] [ ~] app-emulation/wine-0.9.21 (0)

Code:

$ uname -a
Linux mahdi 2.6.16-gentoo-r12 #4 SMP PREEMPT Sat Sep 9 19:50:05 CEST 2006 i686 Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 2.66GHz GNU/Linux

thx,
mahdi

1) Did you create both the e: and e:: DOS device links for Wine?
2) Does it work, or behave differently, if you mount the real CD instead of the ISO?

That entry is for 2.0.7A, but it has information about the language packs that might help you.

Thanks for the tip, the trick was to copy all files into local folder and then convert filenames to uppercase. Now it works flawlessly.
