|
|
So I recently decided to pick up some fiber channel equipment and a pair of LSIFC909 cards. The cards recognize the drives in the bios, but once the OS is up the drives aren't showing up as devices. I was under the impression that with the MPT fiber channel and scsi modules loaded they would appear as normal scsi drives. I'm currently running 2.6.17-r7 on a dual AMD box that is running other scsi things quite well. dmesg shows that the card is found, but no drives. I'm not sure if anyone else has tried getting one of these cards to work, but if it doesn't start behaving soon I'm gonna have to jump to Q-Logic I guess.
I found references to this card at:
https://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-392955-highlight-fiber+channel.html
but with no resolution. I've got drivers, the hardware, etc. Just not showing up.
Thanks in advance. |
