I have installed Kguitar without any errors, but when I start the program, I dont have any sound. This is the error message I get
Code:

KGuitarPart::KGuitarPart()
ALSA lib seq_hw.c:446:(snd_seq_hw_open) open /dev/snd/seq failed: No such file or directory
TSE3: Alsa scheduler error. Couldn't open sequencer
      (No such file or directory)
cannot create MIDI Scheduler
ERROR opening MIDI device / Music can't be played

I have emerge TSE3 and are using alsa with the emu10k1 driver, any idéas?

Did you compile in ALSA kernel midi support? If so, do you have the snd-seq-midi module loaded?

I'd just followed the ALSA setup guide that is in the gentoo docs. emerge alsa-driver... Running Gaming-sources 2.4.20.

EDIT, did a modprobe snd-seq-midi. Now it starts fine, no caomplains about not finding the midi module, but still no sound... :(

Since I did a 'emerge timidity++ timidity-eawpatches' and a '/usr/bin/timidity -iAqqq -B2,8 -Os1S &' from the console, I have sound now.
