Just installed Gentoo and have an error

Hi, I just installed Gentoo and I am getting many error messages during boot and shutdown. Many times while thing are starting up or shutting down this message appears:

/sbin/runscript.sh : 1 :: command not found
/sbin/runscript.sh : 2 :: command not found

Everything things to be running fine otherwise. Any ideas?

I've got the same problem.
Almost every runscript (as far as I can see them as they fly by) gives this error.

It cannot find modules or something (my eth0 doesn't seem to work, with install it worked just fine).

f.e. : during boot, section "eth0" does some runscripts (4 I believe) and they all give the "command not found error"

This is why my internet connection fails?
Modprobing 8139too fails too (I put it in the modules.autoload also, as mentioned in the instructions)

I've Installed gentoo 1.2 via stage3.
As I am just beyond newbie I only selected my Athlon processor during kernel compilation and the appropriate filesystem (ext3).

Is there someone who can help with this runscript.sh issue?

I cannot find anything on the web regarding this, except for the path to /sbin should be wrong, but echo path gives also /sbin, so that should not be the problem.

But annoying it is, that it doeesnot work correctly.

plz help...?

Hiya.

The only thing I can think of after reading your emails is that the script is trying to execute the command '1' instead of executing the first (and second) arguments '${1}.

Would you be able to post the contents of your 'runscript.sh' file? This may be a red herring, but its worth a shot.

Well I've got to admit I get the same errors, but on different lines. Actually everything seems to be working, except for the automatic dhcp.
Tried some things, but none of them worked... Really no-one with a solution?
