|
|
I'm using a Radeon 8500LE card, and a sony LCD.
When the boot process enters frame buffer mode (the gentoo logo appear on the left upper corner), The screen will be streched and part of it cannot be seen, even if I adjust the monitor. Is there a fix for this? And how can I make the console look like what it was when I boot with the gentoo_rc4 CD?
Another problem is that my machine hangs when the screen is blanked in console mode, but it will not when I boot with the install CD and the screen blanks during the install process.
Could anyone give a hand? Thanks very much. |

Try looking here and ask for help. Also, post your grub.conf and kernel information. _________________ http://dhruba.name/ |

Thanks for the pointer.
I'm using lilo. Does it only work with grub? |

It works with both lilo and grub but you'll have to look a little harder for a sample lilo configuration file as I use grub and don't have one to put up. _________________ http://dhruba.name/ |
