I have installed LTSP on a dual Xeon at school and we are somewhat happy with its performance. The problem is that after about 15 logins, GDM stops spawning new logins/sessions, either remotely or locally. Anyone logged in at that time can continue to use the computer, but no one new can log in. If I restart /etc/init.d/xdm, everyone gets booted off, but it works again. I've not been able to find any error messages anywhere, but don't really know where to look.

Ideas? Anyone?

OK. Solved it myself by downgrading GDM to 2.8.0.8 and hard masking >=gdm-2.14. Even though the rest of Gnome works, how do I emerge world without it complaining about Gnome requiring a GDM that's masked?
