I am having a problem with my gentoo installation. I have completed up to setup and installed grub. I rebooted my computer and when it was booting I got to the point where it says Running dhcpcd and I receive the error below:
Error, eth0: time out
ERROR: cannot start netmount as net.eth0 could not start |

Ok, can you check the system logs for more info? Also, set dhcpcd to provide the max amount of debug info. I don't recall specifically what the option is right now, and I don't currently use it so it's not installed. _________________ Thomas S. Howard |

I also recommend installing something like sys-apps/ifplugd
to make your life a little easier in DHCP environments...
