Ok, I got gentoo installed on my laptop and it runs ok as long as I just use the console. I'd kinda like to be able to use gnome or kde or even X but haven't had any luck getting them to work yet. I've tried ubuntu as well and got the same problem. The display isn't working, the gui itself works (I can logon and it gives me an error message) but I can't see anything that's going on. I've tinkered around with my xorg.conf but havn't had any luck yet. any suggestions? _________________ I have captured the enemy for meat testing praise me....PRAISE ME!!!!
