I'm having trouble playing MIDI through the ports of my sound card: | Code: | Port Client name Port name

128:0 TiMidity TiMidity port 0
128:1 TiMidity TiMidity port 1
128:2 TiMidity TiMidity port 2

I've tried everything from 16:0 to 17:3, after having gotten my SoundFonts from a Creative SoundBlaster Live! 5.1 install CD. Here are the fonts: | Code: | mnt/cdrw/SoundFont Library/2mb:
Coolness.SF2 GONGXSBL.SF2 Paradise.SF2 TRANCE.SF2
/mnt/cdrw/SoundFont Library/4mb:
Millenium.SF2 Princess.SF2
/mnt/cdrw/SoundFont Library/8mb:
ILLUSION.SF2 ineedu32.SF2 |
I've only tried a few of these, through asfxload, but with no luck. I am able to play them with TiMidity. What have I done incorrectly?

Are you trying to play midi using the onboard midi support, or play through the cards's midi ports to a midi device?
On my Soundblaster Live 5.1 CD the soundbank file is called 4GMGSMT.SF2 (4MB) |
