Hello all,
I'm installing a new Gentoo server on an IBM Blade Center. The basic installation work just fine, but now I have to mount iSCSI from our NetApp fileserver.
I have two network interfaces, one for the "normal" network (eth0), and one for the "iSCSI" network (eth1) with 10.10.10.110 /255.255.255.0 witch is connected to the NetApp server (10.10.10.6).
I have read a lot of papers on the net on howto mount an iscsi target and the readme of open-iscsi but I'm unable to find a clear doc about the client side.
Can someone help me please. _________________ - iBook G4 12" 1.2Ghz 512Mb 60Go / Gentoo

Bump on this.
I just "downgraded" from Centos 5. Accidently wiped the partition so I had to do a reinstall. Installing and setting up open-iscsi was a breeze but on gentoo its a pain. The only latest version is from open-iscsi.org, and it doesnt have the right scripts to set it up in init.d
Even manually starting the service and running iscsiadm gives me a blinking curser with no diagnostic messages. Kind of at a loss here.
I have always liked using gentoo (Just used Centos as a fad), but I REALLY need iscsi now and its killing me. |
