Hello all,
I'm setting up the Gentoo server to replace an FC5 server. I'm sure this can be done, but I'm having one o those moments where my brain has gona stroll.
I need:
- An e-mail server
- An IMAP and POP3 server
- A web e-mail page
Furthermore, I want users to be able to override anti-relay rules if they authentiate themselves when sending e-mail.
In sendmail, I used to use sendmail itself with SSL and AUTH extensions, imapd and squirrelmail. I'm sure that would work today, but it's been a long time since I've set that up.
Is there something better these days that will meet all the requiements and the anti-relaying override via authenticate? |

The "anti-relaying override" is normal these days. If a user authenticates, he can send to wherever he wants. At least with the de-facto standard MTA Postfix.
A good tutorial on how to set up a mail server in Gentoo is here: http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/virt-mail-howto.xml _________________ lxg.de – codebits and tech talk |
