My kde seems to be forcing wifi to disassociate fairly regularly. Has anyone else encountered this (or better yet, solved it)? I'm using wpa_supplicant if that matters, and on a laptop.
Edit: I'm posting it here, because I sort of suspect some interaction with the gentoo init scripts and kde trying to take over is what's causing the problem. |

Are you still having this problem w/Wi Fi in KDE? If so, can you provide some information such as an output from dmesg? Does it reconnec automatically or do you have to reconnect manually? Are you using a gui to control wpa_supplicant or the CLI (Command Line Interface)? Is this happening with only one Access Point or multiple? |

We'd need a lot more information, such as; what kind of adapter, what kernel version are you using, are you using the kernel native driver or ndiswrapper, other wireless sytems connecting normally, does the system connect via Windoze (if installed)?
Blessed be!
