Need a recommendation for a good podcast client that can handle video and audio. Rhythmbox keeps failing on me.
Thanks!

Have you looked at media-sound/amarok? _________________ All reality is the construct of the observer.

I've been using my own creation podpooper. It's a non-interactive enclosure downloader written in Python. It works well most of the time, haha.
The issue I've been having is not with downloading podcasts, but with keeping track of what I have listened to, so that I know what needs to be deleted.
I've gone through several audio players. XMMS has problems with alsa+dmix, bmpx is way to buggy, Rythmnbox has too many dependancies, Amarok is for KDE (I use xfce). I've been using Orpheus lately, and I'm impressed! But, it doesn't tell me if I've listened to a podcast.
I think there's a way to get the find command to list old podcasts by specifying the date, but the man page for find hasn't been helpful. Any ideas? |

I would definatley say amarok, it lets you keep track of the podcasts u've listen to, and complex????

It has just looks cool as well. The only reason i can think of to not use it is if you hav a system that bytes, i got a gig o ram, and it does just fine for me. Other than that adding podcasts and streams to your lists is hella easy. _________________ Karma, It's Real!
