dxr3 + pal

hi, got a problem with my dxr3, maybe someone can help me?
first switched on i2c stuff in kernel, emerged em8300-libraries/modules, insmod'ed em8300 and bt865 and loaded the included microcode with em8300setup. now when doing something like mplayer -vo dxr3:prebuf:sync -ao oss:/dev/em8300_ma-0 -dvd 1 i get clear picture on my tv set, but black and white only as i have a pal tv. ok so far. now switching to pal mode with em8300setup -p and again playing a dvd with mplayer the picture now has colour but it's shifted a bit to the right where the missing part from the right now comes in on the left. Also there is a 'ghost picture' shifted to the left.
On another tv set (also pal) the picture runs all over the screen. This tv is switchable to ntsc, but then its also just black and white. i've tried diffrent microcodes extracted from the latest creative labs drivers. also i tried different connectors (s-video and composite).
when using the video-in of my gf4 and xawtv in ntsc mode everything runns fine!

so i'm just about installing windows to check out whats possible with the original drivers...
