|
|
hello
When I startx the theme is loaded except the font. The font is located in /usr/share/fonts/TTF. In a configuration file the font is called with (this is in several files for the whole config takes at least 20 files, a downloaded theme):
Code: | *FvwmIdent: Font "Shadow=1 1 SE:xft:aquafont:size=11" |
In the theme there is also a widget with the cpu monitor here the font is correct. But in e.g. the calendar and weather part they aren't. When I exit fvwm I see a whole bunch of errors on font not found...
EDIT
Searching the internet I came to http://fvwm.lair.be/viewtopic.php?t=1501&highlight=relink+xft which is what I have. But how do I relink XFT? My fvwm --version gives
Code: | ekoster@localhost ~ $ fvwm --version
fvwm 2.5.19 (from cvs) compiled on Sep 30 2006 at 18:15:22
with support for: ReadLine, XPM, PNG, Shape, XShm, SM, XRender, NLS
fvwm comes with NO WARRANTY, to the extent permitted by law. You may

EDIT
I think its to do with truetype. I'll have to figure out if I have this all running |

You need to compile FVWM against libxft.

Get a FVWM tarball, install libxft-dev (or whatever the package happens to be) and the
Code: |
./configure && make && su -c 'make install'
|
Although the gentoo ebuild already links aginst libxft unless you tell it not too. YMMV?

Well I did:
Code: | emerge libXft (for there is no libXft-dev)
localhost ekoster # ./configure && make && su -c 'make install'
bash: ./configure: No such file or directory |
FVWM is made with a tar.bz2 file unpacked and then:
Code: | ebuild /usr/local/portage/x11-wm/fvwm/fvwm-9999.ebuild digest
emerge fvwm-9999 |

As i told you on the other thread, do you have this problem with the official ebuild too (2.5.16) ? |

Sorry, forgot to check it today. I have to test that, the fvwm part for the font came with the theme. The font does work though for in the monitor (processes, diskspace, cpu, tempratures etc) it uses the font as well and there it does work. It also works in oowriter.
@moderators:
thanks for removing the junk!! |
