Error trying to dial up for install

I've had a problem, so I need to reinstall again, I've extracted the stage 2 tarball, and now when I try to run wvdial, it will dial and connect, but then disconnect because of this:


[devfsd]error making directory "/lib/dev-state-tts" Read only file system
[devfsd] error making tree for "/lib/dev-state/tts/02


Is there some reason this is happening? I never had a problem last time I installed via modem.[/code]
