Hi!
I'm having problems getting my digital camera to work, I've followed some of the helpful threads here, but gphoto2 still tells me that it can't find the camera.
This is what I get from "dmesg" Quote: | hub.c: new USB device 00:10.0-2, assigned address 10
usb.c: USB device descriptor short read (expected 18, got 8)
hub.c: new USB device 00:10.0-2, assigned address 11
usb.c: USB device 11 (vend/prod 0x55f/0xc520) is not claimed by any active driver.
usbdevfs: USBDEVFS_CONTROL failed dev 11 rqt 128 rq 6 len 18 ret -6
usbdevfs: USBDEVFS_CONTROL failed dev 11 rqt 128 rq 6 len 18 ret -6

And it isn't helping me very much. I've compiled the USB support as modules, and have added hotplug to my runlevels. Do I need support for a digital camera in the kernel for this to work? I've got the following USB options:
<M> USB
<*> Preliminary filesystem
<M> EHCI
<M> UHCI
<M> Mass storage
<M> Full HID
<M> Kodac DC-2xx
<M> Mustek MDC800
...(nothing more that is related to the issue)
Oh, and I haven't got V4L1/2 compiled in, if that matters. _________________ C is for Cookies! |
