when i try to start kde i get this error message:

You can't start KDE using only the "startkde" command. (I think it worked before, but it is not working now).
If you don't want to use a desktop manager (KDM), you can edit the .xinitrc file inside your home folder (if it does not exist, create it). Add "startkde" inside (without quotes)
Then, using "startx" will start KDE. |
