Hi all,
I am running development-sources 2.6.1-rc3, and my alsa works great - in everything except mythtv. The picture works prefectly, but I get no sound, even though in tvtime sound is great too.
Is there something really simple I'm overlooking?

Maybe you have "use internal mixer" set in the myth options, and it's volume is down to 0? |

No, sorry, it's neither of those.
mixer settings are okay, and I tried both internal mixer and not.
I will probably wind up re-installing from scratch to see if I buggered anything up...
Thanks though!
Kai.
PS: Using saa7134/via82xx/2.6.1-rc1/alsa - maybe that has something to do with it? |

Eureka.
who could have guessed that v4l has a volume setting.
Code: |
v4lctl volume mute off
|
was all that was needed. Few!
Oh well, at least I now know exactly how long it takes to re-emerge a load of stuff!

What did you do? Manually setting v4lctl seems entirely unworkable to me...
... is there a way to get mythtv to automatically make use of v4lctl's muting and unmuting capability when it starts to show/record TV? |
