Hi leutz,
/me hat ma wieder n kleines Problem.
Ich hab auf meiner Maschine (athlon 800, 512 MB RAM) einen Proftpd und SSH installiert.
Wenn ich auf den FTP oder den SSH connecten will dauert das ewig, genauer gesagt 10 sekunden... und nach der pwd eingaben nochmal so lange.
ich hab schon die cfg durcggeguckt, aber nix gefunden.
Liegt es etwa an PAM (hab den Dienst für ftp gelöscht aber keine besserung).

da hast du ein kleines dns problem. der ssh server versucht genau wie der ftp server ein reverse lookup auf deine ip und das kann dauernd. also dns richtig setzen am server oder /etc/hosts am server anpassen.

hi.
hmm irgendwie funzt nur noch proftpd.
bei ssh schmeisst er mich nachm root eintippen sofort raus....
root access ist aber erlaubt...
jmd ne idee? |

was sagen deine logfiles? (syslog bzw. auth.log)
