Playing from iPod. Is there an easier way?

Hello,

Is there any other tool that I can use to play music from my iPod? I have been using amarok on ubuntu for months and it works great.

But I am having no end of trouble getting it to work as it should on gentoo.

Are there any other tools out there (not gtkpod).

Aside from gtkpod (which you don't want to use) you could try banshee..

I don't have an iPod, so I'm not bring much expertise. That said, there is an ipod USE flag for amarok. Are you sure you have it set?

Yeah there is an ipod flag for amarok. I did use it but still no luck.

I'm trying banshee now.
