Wrong Umlauts in Konqueror

My KDE default font is Lucida Grande. Everything works fine, just the Konqueror start page ("Welcome to Konqueror...") and Konqueror's context menu don't show no correct German umlauts (äöüß). All other context menus show correct umlauts, although they use the same font. I'm puzzled.

Changing the font to Luxi Sans solves this problem, so I could live with that, but I'd really appreciate if someone had a solution...
