Non mi funziona nessuna applicazione 3d, neanche glxinfo e glgears: se provo a lanciarli X crasha!

Ho un macbook (non pro) con X modulare, vanilla 2.6.18 con varie patch. In Xorg.0.log.old ho questo backtrace

gli warning non sono nulla di strano né grave (non sarebbero semplici warning, altrimenti ;))
possibile che non ci sia nessun error?

prova a lanciare X da consolle con startx e vedi se viene scritto qualcosa quando avviene il crash

L'idea non è male, ma come faccio a postarlo? Non riesco a ridirezionarlo con startx > errore, se non una piccola parte

Beh, l'avevo già guardato! Dà una marea di messaggi di kde, speravo postandolo che qualcuno sapesse indicarmi i messaggi di xorg

i messaggi di KDE sono solo fastidiosi, oltre che inutili
prova ad avviare con TWM e vedi cosa succede. così facendo non hai i messaggi di KDE e avrai dei log più puliti da guardare

se invece così non si schianta... abbiamo trovato il problema (ed un motivo i più per disprezzare l'ingranaggio)

Nada, il povero kde non c'entra! Ho provato con twm (che fatica far partire un terminale!), ma non dà niente di più del backtrace di sopra.

Ho fatto anche un po' di prove con LIBGL_DEBUG=verbose glxinfo, ma niente, si pianta prima di poter dare informazioni.

Ho risolto: tralasciando tutti i tentativi con i kernel ho provato a modificare xorg: alla fine sembra che il problema fosse nel mancato caricamento del modulo xtrap. Non ho idea di che cosa faccia, ma senza le applicazioni gl mandano in crash tutto quanto!
