Hey,
ich versuche jetzt schon einen Tag lang, mein Multifunktionsgerät HP OfficeJet 5110v zum Scannen zu bringen. Drucken tut es wunderbar und ohne Schwierigkeiten.
Ich habe hplip-0.9.7-r3 mit den Flags "usb cups ppds scanner" emerged - und genause sane-backends-1.0.18-r2 mit dem "usb"-Flag.
Doch wenn ich "sane-find-scanner" ausführe, findet er keinen ... "sane-find-scanner -v" hat mir gezeigt, dass er verschiedenste dev-files überprüft, die aber alle nicht vorhanden sind (zb /dev/usb/scanner) ... da habe ich in die /etc/udev/rules.d/99-libsane.rules die Zeile | Code: | | SYSFS{idVendor}=="03f0", SYSFS{idProduct}=="1a11", MODE="660", GROUP="scanner" |
hinzugefügt ... aber auch das brachte keine Änderung ...
Hat jemand eine Idee, wie ich das zum laufen bringen kann?

Hast du /etc/init.d/hplip gestartet? Das hatte ich vergessen, und es hat bei meinem OfficeJet auch effektiv das Scannen verhindert..

Hab gerade mal bei mir nachgeschaut, sane-find-scanner findet bei mir auch nix. Wenn ich allerdings die GUI hp-toolbox aufrufe (nur bei USE="qt3") und dort auf Scannen klicke, gehts..
ps zeigt mir dann, dass xsane mit einer speziellen URI aufgerufen wurde.

Wenn du hp-toolbox nicht hast, kannst du diese uri mit hp-info herausfinden (scan-uri) und xsane mit dieser URI als Parameter starten.

hmmm ... danke für den Tipp ...
was mir bei der Gelegenheit noch aufgefallen ist: die ganzen HP-Tools sagen, dass mein Drucker nicht unterstützt wird:

... dabei steht ganz dick und fett bei denen auf der Seite, dass er unterstützt wird ...
wenn ich nun xsane direkt aufrufe, stürzt es mit einem "invalid pointer" in der libsane-hpaio ab:

CHANGE: <model name="OfficeJet_5110"> to <model name="OfficeJet_5110v">
Save, exit, restart HPLIP and try again. That should be a temp fix for you, we are also working on adding this to our database for the next release.

Nun funktioniert alles, wie es soll ... sane-find-scanner findet den zwar immer noch nicht, aber das GUI tut es ... (ich mag firmen die OSS unterstützen)

Danke moe für deine Hilfe  ... ohne den Tipp mit dem GUI würde ich jetzt immer noch rätseln wie ich das hinbekomme
