Like the topic says, when I try to use alsa as my sound plugin, it throws me this error: "Could not launch the mail client: KDEInit could not launch 'kmail': Could not find 'kmail' executable". My sound works fine if I chose OSS as the output plugin. But I want alsa, because it has extra settings I'd like to use.
Any ideas?

Hi.
Are you using the alsa-driver package or are you using the kernel sound drivers? If the latter, did you compile the OSS driver or the ALSA driver - grep -i snd /usr/src/linux/.config?

I'm pretty sure I used the Alsa drivers provided by the kernel.
