hey
whats the maximum partition size in linux using reiserfs filesystem?
Windows has 130gb (roughly) - whats the maximum size in linux?

EDIT: or can I have a hard drive with a partition on it as large as i like?

From Design and Implementation of the Second Extended Filesystem 4 terabytes. So as (I haven't read the newpapers today) nobody has a 5 terabyte hard drive for sale, the answer is "Yes".

Ever heard of raid?
On single disk, yes - as of today you don't have to worry about partition size limit.
According to wikipedia ntfs has currently 256TB limit on partition size and for reiserfs its 16TB. |
