I can't set up my ethernet card The Realtek RTL8111 Gigabit Ethernet, there isn't this NIC in kernel-2.6.18.1 and all livecd 2006.0/1/2005.0/1 can't see it.
I'm in sad now? what could I do to install and set up ethernet and gentoo?
PS I have Intel(R)/Wireless 3945ABG, how can it be used to install gentoo using livecd
Thanks a lot |

Hey,
http://gentoo-wiki.com/HARDWARE_RTL8168 should give you proper instructions for the Realtek card.
Regarding your wireless, there's the ipw3945 ebuild, so Code: | emerge ieee80211 && emerge ipw3945 | should do it. You probably want the wireless-tools ebuild too
Good luck! _________________ Acer Aspire 5024 - AMD Turion 64 (2.8/3.4MT) |
