1. Where can I find the information on what is included in x86/amd64 minimal install CD? I mainly mean the kernel version.

2. How do I make an updated minimal CD? Basically I only want to make a CD with a newer kernel.

for kernel version...once you boot it, you could type
Code:
uname -r

for how to make your own...what did you search for?

I've seen many howtos before, my first search came up with this. Maybe it will help get you started.
