Konqueror takes five minutes to load!

Konqueror won't load properly. I am running KDE 3.1.

If I open konqueror from the command line it doesn't give me any or errors it just sits there. Eventually konqueror will open though. I had this problem with KDE 3.0 and even with 2.x but not as consistently so it was never an issue. Usually when I start up I can run konqueror fine but then at some point it will stop working. I experience a similar problem with 'save as' windows and other KDE components.

My system:
Dual PIII 933 mhz
Abit VP6 motherboard
3x256 megs ram
Gforce 2 mx

Any ideas would be appreciated.

do you have /etc/hosts configured?

I am not sure if my /etc/hosts is configured properly. This what was in it:

127.0.0.1 localhost
127.0.0.1 sala

And then just now I switched it to this:

127.0.0.1 localhost
207.6.203.73 sala

Both configurations don't seem to work.

Any other suggestions?
