Hi,

I'm using mplayer but the menu you get with it is suddenly disapeared. I don't get a menu when right-clicking while a movie is playing,
and the mplayer entry has also disappeared from my multimedia entry in kmenu.. What could be the cause of this and how do I fix it?

I like the menu..

Strange. You should remerge mplayer.

gmplayer is included in the mplayer package and is a (not very useful) interface for mplayer. The standard mplayer does not have any menus - it does not have a gui at all.

Maybe you have to enable some USE-Flag for the mplayer package in order for gmplayer to build.

Hi,

Thnx for the info, I'm trying to play a bit with the USE flags. If I don't get the, not very useful, interface back I'll just go for Xine or something.

Thnx again,

When I run as root, the gmplayer panel is there,
but when I run as a usual user, it's not..

What could be the problem?

EDIT: There's a difference between ' mplayer ' and ' MPlayer ' as a program for some reason. The latter is with gmplayer menu.

I don't know if you've solved this or not since then. But in order to get gmplayer, you need to emerge mplayer with the gtk USE flag
