|
|
Hi!
I will have to get my X41 replaced due to a crooked case. I have ONLY Gentoo on it and fear that if they (ibm/lenovo) exchange the entire thing, I won't be able to boot-up via fingerprint anymore.
Is there some way to have a fingerprint-id made as the boot-up "password" as i did with windows?
Thanks! _________________ WEBSITE

as far as i know it cant be done through linux since there is no tool for writing into the security chip or the bios. perhaps if you hit the 'access ibm' button (the blue one) or the thinkvantage button if yours is a lenovo there may be a tool in there to help you out. post your results =) |
